Welcome to the digital procedure for determining course-related artistic-creative aptitude

This portal enables you to digitally submit  your application for the aptitude test (assessment procedure of the course-related artistic-creative aptitude) in all courses of study of the Department of Design.

  1. Register in the suitability portal

    You must register in advance on this portal in the following periods.  

    BA Film & Sound                           23.01. – 31.03.2023
    BA Photography                            23.01. – 31.03.2023
    BA Communication Design (1)*    23.01. – 24.02.2023
    BA Communication Design (2)*    25.02. – 31.03.2023
    BA Object and Room Design        23.01. – 31.03.2023

    *The BA Communication Design programme offers two aptitude tests between which you can choose. 

    First stage of the procedure 
    Receive an invitation and upload documents
    You will receive the invitation by e-mail on the first day of the period listed below. Please also check your spam folder!

    BA Film & Sound                         03.04. – 19.05.2023
    BA Photography                          03.04. – 02.06.2023
    BA Communication Design (1)    27.02. – 24.03.2023
    BA Communication Design (2)    03.04. – 02.06.2023
    BA Object and Room Design      03.04. – 02.06.2023

    After timely registration, you can only upload the required documents during the specified periods.  
    Incomplete applications that do not contain all the required documents will not be graded.  

    In the first stage of the procedure, a decision is taken on admission to the second stage of the procedure. If the result is clear at the first stage, you may be granted suitability, even without participating in the second stage of the procedure.

    Second stage of the procedure 
    Interview, colloquium, task
    If the result in the first procedure is ambiguous, you will be invited to the second stage of the procedure. You will receive the invitation at least one week in advance by e-mail. Depending on the course of study, different requirements are placed within the framework of the second stage of the procedure.  An overview of the requirements of the respective degree programmes can be found here.

    Result
    The result of the aptitude test will be sent by post after the grades have been determined. 

  2. Application

    In addition, you must apply for the study place. You can do this within the following periods on the respective portals: 
    Non-EU application    15.04. – 15.06.     uni assist
    EU application            15.05. – 15.07.     UAS Study Portal

Registration: until 01/15/2023
Upload of the portfolio and documents: until 01/15/2023
Admission to the proceedings: 01/17/2023
Personal interview: 01/20/2023, online via webex (webex.com)

The results will be sent  01/17/2023.
