Requirements at the first and second stage of the procedure for Bachelor's degrees

For all degree programs, a list of the submitted theses, a curriculum vitae, a DIN A4 page explaining the portfolio works and a declaration of independence must be uploaded for the first stage of the procedure. The following are the further requirements for the respective degree programs. 

First Stage

  • at least one, maximum two film or auditory work samples
  • a homework assignment that includes one or more practical works with conceptual and artistic-creative tasks

Second stage of the procedure

  • On-site inspection task
  • Colloquium of max. 20 minutes duration on the context of the examination paper and the term paper

First Stage

  • Work samples from 4 - 6 picture series consisting of 5 - 7 images, at least 20 pictures in total - the work samples can consist of photographs or videos/films
  • a homework assignment that includes one or more practical tasks with conceptual and artistic-creative tasks

Second stage of the procedure

  • an oral interview or colloquium

  • at least 15 work samples such as drawing, illustration, typography, print, computer-generated designs, photo, film, installation
  • a homework assignment that includes one or more practical works with conceptual and artistic-creative tasks

Second stage of the procedure

  • an oral interview or a colloquium

First Stage

  • at least 20 work samples such as drawing, illustration, typography, print, computer-generated designs, photo, film, installation, object and room design (in 2D presentation form) and sketchbooks
  • a homework assignment that includes one or more practical works with conceptual and artistic-creative tasks

Second stage of the procedure

  • a reparation of a practical work of max. 6 hours and a colloquium of max. 20 minutes

First Stage

  • at least 15 work samples such as drawing, Illustrations (analog or digital: concept art, character designs, Game environments etc.), typography, user interfaces, 3D modeling, photo, film, Animation (2D/3D), installation, object and spatial design or concepts for to present digital/analog games (in 2D presentation form).
  • a homework assignment that includes one or more practical works with conceptual and artistic-creative tasks

Second stage of the procedure

  • an oral interview or a colloquium

Expected start of studies in winter semester 2024/25.
The new course has not yet been finally accredited. This means that studies may not begin until the winter semester of 2025/26.
